host of the latest Power Macintoshes, Pentium
IIIs and UNIX systems (Silicon Graphics IRIX
or Sun Solaris) are used for retouching, image
manipulation and page assembly and output.
Apart from popular prepress applications such
as PhotoShop, QuarkXPress, PageMaker, Illustrator,
etc., high-end software packages like Dalim,
ArtPro and Solvero are used for handling jobs
with special requirements. For example, Solvero
is used for opening up PostScript files with
problems and graphically manipulating them.
Dalim is used for intensive compositing and
ArtPro for all kinds of line-work manipulation. |
